Consultations
How do I know if I need a consultation?
If you’re unsure about whether you need a consultation, here are some helpful guidelines:
- First-Time Client: If this is your first time visiting us or receiving any skin or aesthetic treatment, a consultation is highly recommended. It helps us understand your goals, skin type, and any concerns you may have.
- Unsure About Treatment Options: If you're not certain which treatment is best for your skin or aesthetic goals, a consultation can help. We will assess your needs and recommend personalised options.
- Changes in Skin or Health: If you’ve noticed significant changes in your skin, or if your health has changed since your last visit, a consultation can ensure the treatment is safe and effective for you.
- Multiple Concerns: If you're dealing with more than one issue—like fine lines, acne scars, and dryness—a consultation helps to create a comprehensive plan to address everything effectively.
- Peace of Mind: If you simply want to be fully informed about a procedure before committing, a consultation gives you the opportunity to ask questions, understand the process, and feel confident moving forward.
Remember, consultations are all about tailoring treatments to you. If you have any doubts, it’s always better to book a consultation for a personalised approach to you!
If I would like to have a treatment on the day with my consultation what should I book?
If you'd like to have a treatment on the same day as your consultation, please book the treatment you're interested in directly. All treatments include a brief consultation at the start, so if you're ready to proceed with treatment, there's no need to book a separate consultation.
Chemical Peel
How do I know what peel is right for me?
We offer a diverse range of peels to suit various skin needs. Visit our booking system for a comprehensive breakdown of all the peels available. You'll find detailed information on each peel, which will help guide you in choosing the treatment that's best for you.
How many chemical peels will I need to see results?
Individual results vary depending on the concern being treated. For less severe concerns, results can often be seen after just one treatment. However, for more specific or deeper concerns, multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired outcome.
Medical Facial
How do I know if I should upgrade my peel to a facial?
If it’s your first time having a treatment with us, we highly recommend upgrading your peel to a facial. The additional steps of deep cleansing, extractions, exfoliation, and targeted serums will reset your skin, providing the perfect foundation to kickstart your skincare journey and optimise the results of future treatments.
Microneedling
Does microneedling hurt?
Pain levels vary from person to person, but microneedling is generally very comfortable and often feels like light scratching. For those who are more sensitive, we offer numbing cream to ensure a more comfortable experience.
Why can I not have microneedling with a peel on my first visit?
Combining microneedling with a chemical peel is an advanced and intensive treatment. To ensure your skin's suitability and tolerance, we recommend starting with either microneedling or a peel on its own. This allows us to assess how your skin responds before combining both treatments.
What is the benefit of combining a peel with microneedling?
Combining a chemical peel with microneedling offers enhanced results. The peel gently exfoliates the skin through short-contact therapy, creating a smooth surface. This allows the microneedling to penetrate more effectively, addressing deeper concerns. Together, these treatments work synergistically to boost overall results.
Prescriptive Injectables
Why do I need a consultation beforehand?
A consultation before treatment is essential because prescriptive injectables are a medical treatment that requires professional assessment to ensure it’s safe and effective for you. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your medical history as well as your treatment goals. This helps us determine the best approach and appropriate dosage, and ensures that the treatment is a suitable and safe choice for your needs.
Additionally, the consultation allows us to address any questions or concerns you might have, ensuring you feel confident and informed about the treatment plan.
What areas can be treated?
Prescriptive injectables are a versatile treatment commonly used to smooth wrinkles and fine lines in various areas of the face. At Ayimaa Aesthetics, we can treat the following areas:
- Forehead Lines: Reduces horizontal lines across the forehead for a smoother, younger-looking appearance.
- Frown Lines (Glabellar Lines): Softens the "11" lines between the eyebrows that appear when frowning.
- Crow’s Feet: Minimizes the fine lines at the corners of the eyes, often noticeable when smiling.
Each treatment is customised to your needs, ensuring natural-looking results that enhance your unique features.
Dermal Fillers
How many mls should I select for lip filler?
The amount of lip filler needed varies based on your desired results and natural lip shape. At Ayimaa Aesthetics, we generally recommend starting with 0.5 ml to 1 ml for a subtle, natural enhancement. For those seeking a more defined or fuller look, 1 ml may be appropriate, while a gradual approach with multiple sessions can provide a balanced, natural outcome.
We advise booking a consultation if you are unsure what you need. This will allow us to assess your goals and help determine the ideal amount for achieving the look you want. Whether it’s a subtle boost or a fuller transformation, we’re here to guide you through every step.
Skin Boosters
How many treatments will I need to achieve best results? To achieve optimal results, we recommend an initial course of two to three treatments spaced four weeks apart. Depending on your skin’s condition, a fourth treatment may be needed. After the initial phase, maintenance treatments every 6-12 months will keep your skin glowing and hydrated.
